If you want seat-selection and/or upgradable flights, please let us know at registration. This can often be done at no additional charge, but it depends on when you register and seat availability, and we will inform you of any additional costs before we obligate you in any way.

Day 5 – Friday, May 1, 2020

Today we will take a flight to the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and arrive in Israel! After our flight over the Mediterranean, we will stop by Mount Arbel for a stunning overview as well as learning some of the dramatic history of the area around the Sea of Galilee. We will overnight at the Sea of Galilee.

Day 6 – Saturday, May 2, 2020

What can be better than start the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee? Well, this is the way we begin the day and then we will visit Capernaum as well as Bethsaida and the Mount of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount took place. We will visit Migdol (home of Mary Magdalene). We will stop by the Jordan River for pictures and an opportunity for baptisms in the Jordan River. Dinner and overnight at the Sea of Galilee.

Day 7 – Sunday, May 3, 2020

Leaving the Galilee area in the morning, we will travel south down the Jordan Valley. Our first stop will be Ein Herod, better known as the spring of Gideon. We will continue to Beit Shean, the largest Roman city in Israel, and one of the cities of the Decapolis in the New Testament. After this, we will go to Qumran, in the Judean Wilderness, where we will see the site of the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Here we will eat lunch and enjoy a short shopping experience where we can get skin creams from the Dead Sea, and much more. If time allows, we will drive further south to the Ein Gedi Nature reserve and the place where David had a chance to kill King Saul. We will make a stop in the Judean wilderness for a short time of worship and reflection on the 23rd Psalm before making our way up  to Jerusalem, where we will stop at an overlook of the Holy City before arriving at our hotel.

Day 8 – Monday, May 4, 2020

We will walk thru the Western Wall Tunnel that runs along the hidden continuation of the Western Wall. We will walk thru the Jewish quarter and see the Cardo, the main street during the Roman era.  We will visit the City of David, including Hezekiah’s tunnel (dry or wet route, take your choice) and then The Southern Stairs which was the main entrance to the Temple during the Second Temple Period.  We will also spend time in the Jewish quarter of the old City. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

The Western Wall is the center of Jewish activity.

Day 9 – Tuesday, May 5, 2020

We start our day at Mount of Olives with a stunning view over the Old City of Jerusalem. Walk the Palm Sunday Route down to the Garden of Gethsemane. At the bottom of the Mt of Olives is the Kidron Valley with three extraordinary tombs; among them the tomb of Absalom. Built on an almost sheer hillside, the Church of St Peter in Gallicantu stands on the eastern slope of Mount Zion. The scene of Peter’s disgrace was the courtyard of the high priest Caiaphas. We will walk along the Via Dolorosa ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Our day will end at Garden Tomb with time for worshipping and a meaningful observance of the Last Supper.
